SSC CGL Notification 2025: Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL Notification 2025 on 09th June 2025 at ssc.nic.in. The commission has announced a total of 14,582 SSC CGL vacancies online. Candidates who have the basic SSC CGL eligibility criteria had to apply for the exam from 09 June to 04 July, 2025. The application form correction window was open from 09 July to 11 July, 2025. As per the SSC CGL Notification 2025, the examination is scheduled from 13 to 30 August 2025.

Educational Qualification

Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): You’ll need a graduate degree from a recognised university. Plus, you must have either scored 60% or more in Maths in your 12th grade or taken Statistics as a subject during your graduation.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II: To apply for this role, your graduation should include at least one of these subjects—Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics—whether as a main subject or as an elective.

Research Assistant in NHRC: This position requires a bachelor’s degree along with at least one year of hands-on research experience from a recognised academic or research institution.

All other posts: If you’re a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university, you’re eligible to apply for the remaining positions under SSC CGL Notification 2025.

SSC CGL Application Form 2025

The entire registration for the SSC CGL application form 2025 process took place online via the official website, ssc.gov.in. Candidates who met the eligibility criteria were required to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) first, followed by filling out the application form. The deadline to submit applications was 4th July 2025 as per SSC CGL Notification 2025, and no offline forms were accepted.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2025

As per the SSC CGL Notification 2025, there will be two levels in the selection process. The first Tier will be qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be created based on the performance in SSC CGL Tier 2.

SSC CGL Tier II Exam Pattern

  • SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam 2025 will be conducted in two phases, Paper I and Paper II.
  • Paper I is compulsory for all candidates applying for any post.
  • Paper II is only for candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) or Statistical Investigator Grade II.
  • Time allotted for Paper I is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The time allotted for Paper II is 2 hours.
  • In Paper I, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section I, Section II, and Module I of Section III.
  • In Paper II, 0.50 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

SSC CGL Admit Card 2025

SSC issues individual SSC CGL admit card 2025 for each stage of the CGL exam, Tier 1 and Tier 2, through its official portal. If you’ve submitted your application, you’ll first be able to download the Tier 1 hall ticket. Only those who pass Tier 1 will move on to the next round and receive the Tier 2 admit card.

Keep in mind the following points:

  • Admit cards for both tiers are released one after the other, not together.
  • You must clear Tier 1 to be eligible for the Tier 2 admit card.
  • No physical copies will be sent by post; everything is done online.
